AN ONLINE SUCCESS GROUP FOR WOMEN CREATORS OF COLOR
Grind Groups gather business-minded women who are serious about finishing what they say they’re going to do. Whether it’s starting a business, writing a book, finishing a website, getting certified, executing a marketing plan, or creating a new product, Grind Groups teach you how to achieve laser focus and implement your plans.
I don't have time to do it. I don't know how to do it. It might fail. There are not enough hours in the day. I'll do it when I save more money. People will laugh at me if I try. People will laugh at me if I fail. I'm too tired. I'm not prepared. I don't have help. I don't have money. I'm juggling too much. I'm a woman. I'm a mom!
Have any of these thoughts popped into your mind right after getting an amazing business idea, or new book inspiration, or after watching something really motivational? They're all valid reasons to delay or rethink your new venture, but how do you move past the excuses and turn your dreams, plans, and goals into something tangible?
The answer is ACTION.
It's so easy to create a vision board, read affirmations, and draft plans for your next big idea, but the magic (read money, success, validation) is in the execution. This is where I feel like most of us struggle. I know I did.
I've started A LOT OF businesses.
I sold vintage jewelry. I designed luggage. I sold waist beads. I wrote research papers. I sold African art prints. I had a t-shirt line. I taught etiquette classes. I build websites. There's more, but I'll spare myself the embarrassment. The point is, NONE of these made me money.
It's not like the ideas sucked. There are thousands of others out there now who are successful doing exactly what I failed at. But it didn't work for ME. Why? I wasn't consistent.
I lacked discipline. I was lazy. I didn't know how to keep myself motivated. I never had time. I didn't know how to prioritize. I was unorganized. I was BROKE. I was spending months on tasks that didn't make me any money. I kept rebranding. I was working on multiple projects at the same time. I was lonely. On top of that, I was scared AF. No one I knew had started a business. Who did I think I was?
Can you relate to any of this?
I spent years making dream boards, lurking in Facebook Groups, buying and discarding domains, half starting blogs, googling, scrolling through all these blessed Instagram girls, and untangling myself out of messy business relationships with lazy friends. It wasn’t until I figured out how to stop sabotaging myself that I was able to transform from a wantrepreneur and an actual entrepreneur!
For the past 4 years, I’ve gone from assistant to a business partner, grown a 6-figure marketing agency, and started 2 passion projects - all of which make me money. Am I special? Nope. Do I get shit done? Yep.
I'm different. I've spent years discovering how to start my dream projects, change self-sabotaging behaviors, and execute projects to the very end. It's a new way of life for me that involves creating new habits, building a community of implementation, and developing a spirit of resourcefulness. I've packaged my methodology into something that I think that will work for just about anyone.
I call them Grind Groups.
Real People Meeting In Real Time For Real Results
Grind Groups gather 5-6 women of color into cohorts. Each cohort meets daily for 1 month to work together via webcam on a pre-defined project. Projects are tracked by a group leader using the SCRUM methodology to ensure progress, accountability, and execution.
Grind Groups are about implementation, shared resources, and community. Our members range from women who have completed their life coaching certification, podcasters who are drafting pitch decks for sponsorships ($$$), women launching personal brands, ladies who are creating challenges and courses, writing books, learning a language, or simply just segmenting an email list to achieve a successes, stress, and important business decisions. This is not just a group. It’s a sisterhood of heart-centered women who want to see each other win.
We meet every weekday to work together via webcam, follow-up on tasks, and troubleshoot roadblocks. Research shows yourself publicly accountable improves your chances of success.
In addition to exclusive Grind Group video training and action plans, every member is asked to pay it forward by sharing a useful training or resource in order to remain in the Facebook Group. So you’ll have access to all the best resources our community has contributed. It’s group economics. We were thinking of you before you even joined!
Do you know anyone in real life doing what you're doing? A friend? Aunt? Parent? Is there someone you can call for advice when your launch yields no sales? Do you have a friend to review your ad copy or ask if you finished the training you purchased? It's time to let go of this myth of self-sufficiency and join a tribe of women who you can be vulnerable with! Ask your questions. Share your resources. Find your business bestie!
I am passionate about helping YOU! Whether during our daily call, the weekly Office Hours, or by sharing access to over 20 tools (that I pay for), my goal to help you succeed. Gone is the crab in the bucket analogy. Let's be here for each other.
In the membership site, I share access to 20+ online tools, legal templates, action plans, video training, 100's of Facebook ad examples, opt-ins, how-to's interviews, and MORE. The resources grow every month with each cohort.
Join our next cohort. Gain 30-day access to the member site, private Facebook group, and daily accountability. Every new member also receives a goal-setting coaching call.
In addition to access to our member site, private Facebook group, and daily accountability, we schedule 2 private coaching calls to ensure you achieve your goals.
If you have a long-term project, this is for you! Gain 90-day access to the member site, private Facebook group, and daily accountability. We also schedule 3 private coaching calls.
MEET YOUR MENTOR
Hi, I'm Dayo!
I help business-minded women of color clarify their vision, execute on their goals, and focused on creating profitable online businesses.
I run a 6-figure Marketing Agency for doctors, run an e-commerce supplement company, and blog about creating a meaningful business via TheSixof7.com. In my previous job, I managed the marketing for a consulting company, launched 2 memberships sites and was the SCRUM Master (basically a project manager) for the launch of a software. I went to school for Law and Business school so this is veeeeery far from what I expected to be doing, but I'm doing it. Why? Because I am resourceful. I love to learn. I am disciplined. I execute. I also believe that my gift is to share this resourcefulness with people I care about, and that's with women of color just like you.
What Is A Grind Group?
A Grind Group is a group of up to 6 people who come together every weekday at 5am to work on a project. The goal is to create a community of people who are working together towards success. Whether you're starting a business, writing a book, or planning an event, we want you to turn all those creative juices into something tangible. It's all about support, results, and progress.
What Happens During A Meeting?
We use the SCRUM methodology during our meetings. The group leader will spend 10 minutes to ask each individual what they completed the day before, what they will work on that day, and what may be slowing their progress. This is followed by 40 minutes of focused work and then 10 minutes of encouragement and positive affirmations.
What Kind of Project Can I Do?
You can work on your book, write a blog, learn a language, build a new funnel, design a website, write grant applications, flesh out a launch, or just get your shit together. The goal is to find time during the day that is dedicated to the execution of something YOU want to do.
How Many Members Are In A Group?
For the sake of efficiency, Grind Groups are limited 6 members. You'll get a chance to get to know your cohort and their projects more intimately this way.
How Long Is A Cohort?
Cohorts last for 1 month. You must manually renew your registration every month.
Does It Matter Where I Live?
Right now we have 4 cohorts. 5am EST, 8am EST (5am PST), and 8pm EST (5pm PST). If you can join us at that time you are welcome! Look out for other cohorts beginning soon in different time zones.
Wait, Most Mastermind Programs are around $10K. Why Is This So Reasonably Priced?
Women of color don't get many chances to work together, trust each other, or help each other. That's why we've worked hard to price the program at a range that many women can access. While we understand that most programs of this caliber cost must more, by mentoring and sponsoring our Grind Group Members we hope to foster a community of creative and entrepreneurial women who lift one another up.
Why 5am? That's Early AF!
The single biggest reason why most people never achieve what they want is that they neglect to take the time to work out what they want and work out how they are going to make it happen! 5am is the time before the world distracts you, discourages you, or asks of you. This is YOUR time to get ish done!
I Love This Idea, But I Legit Can't Do 5am :(
I realize that there are some people who work very early in the morning or are legit night owls. We now offer "Night Owl" cohorts geared towards evening workers and overseas participants. You can join these sessions! If you're interested in another time zone email me at contact [at] grindgroups.com
When Does The Next Program Start?
